Step-by-Step Instructions:
- 1. Log in to the MyUTRGV Portal
- Open a web browser and navigate to my.utrgv.edu.
- Enter your UTRGV credentials (email and password) to log in.
- 2. Select the Brightspace Icon
- Inside the portal, locate and click the Brightspace icon. You will be redirected to the Brightspace learning management system.

Q: When will courses become available to students?
A: Courses will become available to students on the first day of the semester. However, instructors have the option to open courses earlier at their discretion.
Q: I registered for a course, but I don’t see it on Brightspace. Why?
A: Confirm that you are officially registered on Assist.
- Log in to ASSIST and check the delivery method for the course
- All courses beginning with Summer I 2025 and onward will be offered in Brightspace (D2L).
- Courses will become available to students on the first day of the semester. However, instructors have the option to open courses earlier at their discretion.
- Once the semester has officially ended, you will no longer have access to your course in Brightspace. If you still need access after the end date, please contact your instructor.
Q: I confirmed I am officially registered, but I still don’t see it on Brightspace. What should I do?
